Something/At Night

Sometimes I turn
the light on
in the bathroom
to piss, sometimes
I don’t. I just

walk right in
trusting my instincts
to get me there
to the bowl
that clear water there

unzip & let go
aiming true & smiling some
hearing in my head
something like, “Back
in the saddle again”
